    Roof Repair or Re-roof?

Usually the decision to do a roof repair or roof replacement is not left to the homeowner, at least when there is an insurance claim involved. If your home sustained roof damage and it is covered by an insurance policy, your insurance adjuster will usually be the one that makes this decision.

If your roof has been damaged in several areas, it would be preferable to replace the entire roof. Nobody wants a roof with patches all over it. But sometimes we do not have a choice. You can learn more about this process by visiting the insurance claims page; you may have more choices than you thought.

Many homeowners make the mistake of thinking they can perform a roof repair themselves. While there are a few homeowners that are capable of doing this, the vast majority are not. Even the ones who think they are, would be better off if a professional were to perform the repairs. Safety issues are also a major concern.

There's much more to what might look like a simple roof repair than meets the eye. There are many issues to consider, such as underlayment, shingles surrounding the damaged area, tying in the repaired area with the existing roof and much more. Your home is probably the most valuable asset you own and it deserves the best care you can provide.

Texas Roofing Solutions is a high-wind application and hail expert. We meet Florida Building Code standards. It is the strictest roofing code in the United States and was adopted in Florida after hurricane Andrew in 1992.

To understand the significance of this code, consider this: it would have kept thousands of more roofs on the homes of folks in the Houston area during hurricane Ike. It would of also given homeowners an advantage against the high winds accompanying the hail storm in Austin recently.

Since it is not required, to our knowledge, there are very few, if any, roofing companies meeting the stricter standards of the  high wind application requirements of the Florida code in the state of Texas.

A secondary benefit to the homeowner that hires a roofing company using Florida Building Code standards involves the insurance claims process as well as their policy. Insurance companies prefer this type of installation and are much more likely to approve what is needed by the roofing company when it comes to both materials and funds.

Since this is a superior roofing system, there is usually some kind of rebate, discount or some other incentive that affects the homeowners insurance policy in a positive manner.

Texas Roofing Solutions will provide you with the information needed relative to roofing products, warranty and budget to make an informed and sound decision. A decision that results in no misgivings, no hassles and will increase the value of your home.

After inspecting your roof, we will explain the nature of the damage, what needs to be done and why that is the best way to do it. We know how important it is to have the peace of mind that comes with knowing you took the right steps in order to keep you and your family safe. We are committed to earning your business and providing the peace of mind you deserve.
